Planning Meals with Family Forces Healthier Habits: Tip

Lisa Nelson Health Pro
  • How often do you sit down for meals with your family?  Everyday? Couple times a week?  Never?

Studies have shown that when you sit down for meals with your family, you tend to eat more fruits and vegetables, and less fried foods and empty sugar calories.  This is not only a benefit to your health, but your children's also.  Children that eat family meals are less likely to be overweight, which means a decreased risk for developing heart disease and high blood pressure as they age.
