What other conditions of the heart cause chest pain besides blocked vessels

By Sbradley Monday, August 27, 2007
I am a 57-year-old female with coronary artery disease. I currently have five stents implanted. I am plagued with chest pain when I am under stress. it happens mostly at work, but sometimes at home. I have had stress tests. the last two have shown that the heart is not getting enough oxygen on one side versus the other, but when the cardiologist does the heart cath, the vessels are not significantly blocked. What else could the pain be coming from. I feel very frustrated about this and also wonder if I should go to Mayo or other clinic. Help.

I am a 53-year old male with four stents and very similar symptoms: pain and discomfort around the heart, especially when under stress. I would also like to know what it means.
