Hi there, I'm a 52yr old stroke survivor twice over in 3 months this year '2007'. I must say that going through a stroke was nothing that I had imagined. About 3 1/2 yrs ago my mom passed away, I took care of her for 5yrs and many strokes to boot. Luckily I some what experienced what a stroke was like as I helped mom through hers. Not knowing just exactly how they felt or how she felt, I thought I was ready if it happened to me. Well, I was mistaken. You can never know just how Lonely they are or how singled out you really feel till it happens to you. Strokes to me are, Lonely, sad, exhasting, slow motion, and a definately an out of body experience. To this day, the Doctors still don't know what caused them. I want to be an inspiration to those who have had them and to also learn from those as well.
