Heart Healthy

By sherry Sunday, September 16, 2007

Can any woman who has had a heart attack please give me some information on the symptoms they had, how long they had them before they had an attack, and if you put off going to emergency room because you were afraid it was nothing?  For about  two weeks I felt as though I was coming down with a cold. My hands and feet were so cold I couldn't feel them at times. I would also break out in a sweat but be freezing and have a temperature. Now for the last two days I've had a terrible pain in my chest and back and shortness of breath. Also starting to have a cough but no sore throat, runny nose or any other normal cold symptoms. Anything sound familiar?

Dear Sherry,

Thank you for submitting a SharePost. Only a medical professional can assess and diagnose your symptoms, so please visit your doctor as soon as possible.

I want to share with you some information about heart attack symptoms in women, because they can differ from heart attack symptoms in men.

Also, here is information about heart disease risk factors and a recent blog from Dr. Kang about how cholesterol impacts your risk of developing heart disease.

Please keep us updated on your health!

Best,

Katherine

I have recently experienced shortness of breath, feeling very tired and blue, and now for the past few days I have extreme constiaption, right shoulder pain that leads to my back.
