Who knew that a little snack of almonds could be the golden ticket to preventing heart disease, lowering bad cholesterol, and actually conquering your craving?

You listed that Almonds provide omega-3 fatty acids when, in fact, they do not have any omega-3 fatty acids. Walnuts are actually the only nut that contain a signifcant amount of omega-3s.....2.6 grams per one ounce serving!

Thanks for the comment, Kaley. Almonds carry trace amounts of omega-3, but are a better source for omega-9 fatty acids (which help lower cholesterol levels and reduce atherosclerosis). The information has been corrected in the post. Thanks for your input!

Does anyone else have a great heart healthy snack they would like to post?  If so, we'd love to have them here.
