By Pearlene Tuesday, June 15, 2010

I am a heart patient that was diagnosis in May, 2002 of having a massive heart attack with only the backside of my heart working and I  needs help in planning and finding out what are the best foods that I can prepare for my family. I have picky eaters and i really don't have the money to prepare two separate meals at meal time. If you have any I ideas please let me know.

but with all the new products out there now I am confused......and allergies....stress, etc.....even mental health, or

especially just staying mentally fit!

staying healthy is not easy ....never was...LIFE happens to all of us!

I assume variety is still the answer but...........?? fruit...vegetables...grain...nuts...beans....meat...fish..poultry...

I am still not sure about candy...gum...chocolate....chips...and of course ice cream, custard and summertime snow cones.....

thanks everybody...we can all help each other

I would hope your family would understand that there are certain foods you cannot eat!  You should stick to fish and skinless chicken (white meat if possible) and baked, not fried; lots of vegetables (steamed) and potatoes (white and sweet), baked.  Also ask your doctor if there is a Registered Dietitian on the staff who could give you a printout of foods you can eat.  Let the family have their potato chips, ice cream, and other snacks.  They will also benefit from the heart healthy diet.  Good luck!

Tinned salmon is perfect for you as a sandwich (maybe at lunchtime) then it doesn't  matter what the others are eating. Half a dozen walnuts each day to snack on for you too.

Normal foods (so long as there's low saturated fat and transfat in them) are fine I believe. Low salt, low-sugar.(but these two things may depend on factors about you that I don't know. If in doubt ask your GP or a dietitian.

I had a severe heart attack so I know what I'm talking about. Done the research.

I read in a scientific journal that epicacins help the blood platlets not stick to the walls of our artries.. I know that these can be found in dark chocolate that is not processed, or cooked or dutched with added fat and sugars.

I had high blood pressure 3 months ago and started consuming Xocai which is a combination of the acai berry and unprocessed chocolate. only one available today as far as I know it and reasonably priced.

you can be a distributor or just a consumer, have it delivered to your home every 4 weeks .. I love the it and will not go with out..
