    Good post Melanie.  SMART goals are something I use personally and also with clients.  It's such a good way of focusing, clarifying and reality check-ing health changes. 

     

    I recently had a client who wanted to be able to bound out of bed each morning.  That was her main benchmark of good health.  Through using the SMART system she quickly realised it simply wasn't realistic and together we formulated a much more achievable set of goals.
