I have been on fiorinal for over 5 years, I have a new neurologist & he just wants me to stop. He has been advised that I have had open heart surgery 12 years ago, I'm trying to cut back since he does not want to renew the scrip, I don't know what to look for concerning my heart, I'm having a faster heart rate, some sweating, but nothing else.  My doctor is on vacation and I just can't seem to talk to this new doctor, he seems to be more interested in getting me off this particular medication.  I have been taking this med for severe migraines, can't take meds like Imitrex.

What can I do besides go to the ER.  I have a working dog that needs care, I'm the only one here.
