such as oats (and oatmeal)?  Do they have similiar effects on the joints and on other body processes?  You've also specifically cited wheat as a potentially addictive substance - do other grains share (and if so, to what degree) the same potentially adverse impact?  I am aware that gluten sensitivity (and even serious alergy, as in Celiac 'disease') can be an issue with wheat and related grains (including barley and rye).  I'd appreciate any comments you could share on this matter.
