True Faith

By Kay Roy Tuesday, October 30, 2007

I experienced a stroke at the age of 47.  I then found out I had a hole in my heart.  I had the P.F.O. implant.  The recovery was very long and I am not able to do the things I once did.  With the help and love of my family I was able to recover quicker.  I am very thankful for the technology out there to be able to speak about my experience.  My younger cousin died from a hole in her heart years ago.  They just did not know how to fix those things back in the seventies.  We need to support the American Heart Assoc.   Thank-You

Dear Kay Roy,

Thanks for joining our community and submitting a SharePost.

I'm glad to hear you've had a successful recovery from your stroke and  PFO implant. It's always great to hear positive stories from our community members.

And yes, we do owe a big thanks to the American Heart Association as well as other research organizations and doctors who are working to advance heart disease diagnosis and treatment.

Best wishes,

Katherine
