I have been experiencing some troublesome episodes of a racing heart after drinking alcohol.  This has been happening for many years, and I am so thankful to have found an explanation.  These episodes are very frightening, and happen after only a few drinks.  I was starting to think that something was very wrong with my heart, but I am active, run regularily and have never had problems at any other time.

Looks like I will need to restrict myself to one cocktail, and if that does not alleviate the symptoms,I will become a non-drinker. Not so bad though considering there is alcoholism in my family.

When I have these episodes, I use a natural substance called "Rescue Remedy" which calms the nervous system.  It takes awhile, but eventually I feel much better.
