I have had low blood pressure for at least 5 - 6 years where when I lay down it is fine , sit up on the side of the bed it goes down and when I stand up It falls a lot more. I have fainted 5 times so far and my Dr. does not seem to get it under control. I have had numerous tests yet I still have this happening. I just had a stent put in my right coronary artery last week and finally they saw how my blood pressure was dropping doing nothing but laying in bed after the cardiac stent was put in. Has anyone had this happen to them and what did they do to solve this for you?
Seems my BP is low all the time, 96/60, body temp 97.3, 88bpm, total cholest'l is ave to low, 127 lbs, 5'7" senior--never smoked and 4 wine glasses a month with dinner, usual multivitamins with a Soy protein 20g/d suppliment and 160mg aspirin, with 30 min of daily walking. MD says this is good, but can't explain the random dizzyness for about a year now. Sometimes light headed upon standing. A Holter monitor for 24 hours says OK. So why the dizzyness? Chuck
