Have had several "Wispering Strokes".

By itsoneibob1 Tuesday, August 07, 2007

I am a 70 year old Male with multiple diagnosed medical conditions. I have experenced serveral mini "Wispering Strokes" but, until now I have not had any way of specipaly explain and I have been unable to describe them to my PCP and  Neurologist. Both disagree and individually also diagree. My PCP thinks I have been experiencing "TIAs" and the Neurolost says it has been short "seizures". But I think they were minor Strokes and until now I hae not been able to clearly explain them

I experienced my first Stroke (a Major one) in December 2000 and which resulted in a short period of Comotose (I was on a ventilator for 7 to 10 days). I also expeienced a Heart Attack simultaneously with the Stroke.

When I finally woke up from my Comotose period, I began a long period of Rehab Therapy (about two and a half months, all in the hospital). Although it has been a long way back, I was released to home with a couple of more months of continued care of several Specialists. During this time period, I have experienced several incidents of both Siezures and (what I had thought) were TIAs. But, now I am begining to believe were "Wispering Strokes".

Up to ths point, I had the dicussions with my PCP and my Nuerologist about "Seizure v/s TIA".
