I have two cats. Buddy is a large tabby tom cat that I found in a snow bank when he was a kitten. He was very young, weak, thin, and had frostbite on the tip of his ear and part of a paw. What help & comfort Pets offer--it's that unconditional love

It is that "unconditional love" that gets me everytime. They just seem to want to give back some, and they come and thank you at times, or just want reassurance or to just be near you and receive only a stroke or two, but it is their own idea. That is the best. Sometimes even though you just fed them, and they soon seemed to forget you, as they finished feeding or the treats stopped, so they ran and they froliced off to get their water and potty. Yet, in a bit here they come to thank you or just say hi, I'm baa-aack. Their unconditional love of their owner-master is just such a blessing, and is there no matter our mood or our pain, it is just there for us.

Hi Cleo - what a great post. Our dog is always happy to see us - even though he knows the kids will most likely step on him or make him move to another room every few minutes or so. Thanks for sharing this with us - hope all is well.
