Hello Fellow Stroke Survivors:

My name is Cleo Hutton and I am the author of After a Stroke: 300 Tips for Making Life Easier (Demos Medical Publishing, NY, NY, 2005) and coauthor of Striking Back at Stroke: A Doctor-Patient Journal (Dana Press, Washington, DC, 2003).

Presently, I am working on another book on the topic of stroke yet to be titled. But I need your help.

This book will include the stories of six stroke survivors from across the United States. Names will not be disclosed in order to protect your medical and family privacy.

I am looking for as much diversity as possible so men and women, young and old, people of color, various socio-economic backgrounds, cultures, and faiths may apply. All that is required is that you are now living independently and that you had a stroke (ischemic or hemorrhagic) within the last five years.

Most of the interview process will be conducted via the internet. However, as we progress a personal interview at your residence, and at your convenience, may be necessary.

If you meet the requirements and are interested in the project, please e-mail me at this Share Post at www.HealthCentral.com or at cleohutton@aol.com with a short (one page) statement of the type of stroke you had, background, age, city and state, e-mail address, and the date of the stroke. I will answer all e-mails.

Thank you for your participation in this very important project.
