Supplements and Vitamins

At a Glance

Some vitamins and supplements have been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease. Omega-3 fatty acid, or fish oil, which contains eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). These have shown to play a role in healthy cardiovascular and central nervous systems. Another supplements shown to promote a healthy heart is vitamin D. Many other vitamins can be helpful in a healthy diet.
