Q: how can you tell if you are having an allergic reaction to an angiogram

I had a stroke at the end of july and then I has 2 mini strokes recently, so the doctor did an angiogram with dye 4 days ago.  I started having itching and swelling at the base of my neck and redness on my back and bumps on the palm of my hands.

Hi Sharon,

The symptoms you're describing could very well be signs of an allergic reaction.  I recommend contacting your physician.

All the best,
