Q: had this pain on the right side of my chest for at least a month most likely longer.

I dont know for sure what it could be. I felt for bumps and Im still not positive that there is any lumps. I don't know if this could be from smoking, but I did change my smoking habits and I cut back and am now on the road to be a non-smoker. But I am 18 years old and I lit my first smoke around - -14 years old. I have been smoking almost a pack a day since 15. Please share anything you may think will help me figure out what this pain is.

It does hurt the most when I cough. And I was thinking I could have like hurt myself some how from extreme coughing that I have done. I just don't know for sure any ideas?

***It moves from my right breast to somewhat underneath my right breast, where my ribs are at.

Hi Shootin69star,

I encourage you to consult your physician to determine the cause of the pain you feel and the appropriate treatment approach.  Great job cutting back on smoking.  Keep going until you're smoke free!  The sooner the better.

All the best,
