Q: I'm 78 years old. Dr recently perscribed Nadolol 20 mg. I have e leaky valves.

Again, I am 78 years old. Always taken care of myself.  Don;t understand this. I have 3 leaky valves. Nothing has been said about repair-surgery, only perscribed 20 mg of Nadolol.  My Father lived to be 97.  Mother 82.  No Heart problems  What should I do about this. Female 120#.  No diabetis or high blood pressure.  Mine runs 118/68 or in that area.  I have been recently diagnosed with early kidney disease. Creatinin1.1.  No other problems.  Really concerned.  "J"

Hi Jan,

 

I would do exactly what your physician tells you to do.  Here is some information about leaky valves that may help answer some of your questions.
