Q: Is there something one can take to make a heart go back into normal rythym?

I'm on day 5 of heart rythyms that stop, pound, & skip all over the place, leaving me tired and feeling light headed. Previous experience with ER & cardiac doc have netted no meds for when the occassion arises, just comments such as there is no need to worry. A stress test 2 years ago proved normal, but when this is happening, especially long term, I feel it may be causing damage somewhere or that my heart may just not beat again when it stops periodically.  Is there something one can take to kick start the heart back into a normal rythym?
