Q: Can you hurt a "stent site" in a bad fall?

Hi,  I am new here, have come for some help.  I took a terrible fall about 3 weeks ago.  I slipped on some ice and got treated  to a full "body slam".  They say I was about 3 feet up before I was slammed down by "mother nature".  It hurt so bad, I was sure I had broke my back.

Well, not one single broken bone.  But am so sore still. Actually most of it is gone except in my chest.  I can understand that it is bruised muscles and tendons, but I just got 3 new stents in June and am concerned about this.  It feels like something is jabbing me in the chest and if I lay on my back, it feels like there are about 30 pounds sitting on my chest.  I have seen my heart doc already.  They seem to think it is inflamation making it carry on so long.  Precribed a week of Ibuprophen and Bengay.  I go back tomorrow.  I do not feel one iota better, in fact it hurts a little worse.  What I am searching for here in the way of help, is s ome ideas to give my heart doc.  I suppose it is normal for a heart doc to say your stents won't move but the fact is, they HAVE been known to move just enough in such a case as mine, to cause a little tear and bleed a tiny bit, causing a blood clot.  This is fact, is it not?  This sounds pathetic I suppose, but I don't want to die.  I have  lovely grandchildren whom I adore and who adore me.. I want to be around as long as I can.

Oh, by the way.  Before I had the stents put in, I had had 2 put in in 1991 for a 90% blockage.  They never told me a percentage on these last 3 but I know they don't stent unless at least 80%.  I also have "brui's?" on both legs.  They figure they will be stenting my legs soon.  Good news!!! Good news!!! my karateds are Clear as a bell!!!  Was really excited to find that out.

Well, I will give you more of my history later, I really need help figuring out this chest pain that is so bad can hardly stand it.  Thanks so much, Lainey

I have a stent in my heart ( aorta ), and I too feel like something is stabbing my heart, I have fallen hard when snowboarding and what not, but I remember the pain being there ever since I had the surgery, only now it is more frequent and lasts longer, what did you find at the heart dr.?
