Thursday, July 02, 2009 Wonderingwhy? asks

Q: I am experiencing sharp pain on my left side of my chest while breathing..what is causing this??

Two days ago, I felt a stabbing pain in my chest..on the left side, somewhat under my rib cage area...it was so intense, it made it very hard to breath properly. Over the rest of the day the pain did ease off...and now, 2 days later the pain is only there when I breath deeply, or am about to cough or sneeze..it is somewhat uncomfortable to even lye on my left side...do you have any ideas what this might be???
