Q: My husband had mitral valve repair for reflux, now has mital stenosis, can valve be repaired again?

My husband had mitral valve repair 5 1/2 years ago and has been fine. His latest echo shows mitral stenosis and he is having shortness of breath and palpatations. Will he have to have a replacement or can adjustments be made. There seems to be excess tissue build up around the ring they placed in the valve to repair the regur. Will he have to have the valve replaced and what is the long term outlook. He is 46 and is in otherwise good health. Any help is appreciated.
