    Tumeric has been used as a dietary supplement, believed to help with a variety of health conditions, such as gastrointestinal disorders, inflammation, and wound healing.  Tumeric's role in Alzheimer's, cancer, arthritis, and liver disorders is currently being researched.  I do not know of any concrete evidence linking tumeric to heart health and prevention.  The same goes for cayenne peper.  There is a lot of speculation about it's role in stopping a heart attack, but I have not viewed solid research that supports this claim.
