I am researching GI cocktails in the ER. And why doctors chose to use donnatal, apap, mylanta,and viscous lidocane to rule out heart attacks. I need to know mechinism of action for each and why they chose that dosage for it.

This is not an area I am familiar. You may be interested in looking up GI Cocktail on wikipedia. There is a link to a 2003 research study that may be of use to you.
