Like the ans. to (almost) any question: It depends. It depends. It depends. >  >  No, not normally. When (surgically) opening your chest the esophagus is disturbe causing it to not function as it did preop.  I know about 'heartburn!'  --  Allow some time for everything to readjust to the trauma of 'heart bypass surgery'
