Does it affect the body and heart to much if you take natural medicine, above taking prescribed???

With having Cardiomyopthy, and taking all the recommended medication e.g thinners from doctor, his also started taking natural medication, Goji juice every day and Glyconutrients ( Ambrotose) which is good for cell reproduction..  Can you tell me if this will effect his heart or any of the medication his taking?? Also can this give side effects??

Yes, they upped Mom's digitol, after a heart monitor, ekg, carotid scope, both carotids are clear of aterioscleosis, no pace-maker is required.  Mom fatiques easily, gets s.o.b. is on o2, and other heart medications.  Mom 's atrial fibulation was rather sudden in time, though shes' 88 years young, most folks believe that she's in her 60s'.
