Tuesday, August 17, 2010 Peggy E asks

Q: my pressure is 134/73 and pulse is 78; and my heart is skipping a beat and I have a slight cough when it beats, should this be a concern? I feel fine, but worried about this strange beat in my heart.

I am 43 years, and walk daily, but feeling a bit strange my heart is beating too fast, should this be a concern?

Hi Peggy E,

You should contact your physician about this so that he/she can better assess and monitor the skipped beats that you are noticing.
