Q: father had bypass surgery in dec 2008 and still complains of chest pain

my father 81 years old had bypass surgery in Dec of 2008 and continues to complain of chest pain. Cardiologis have run tests and found that he has thining of one of his arteries but this should not cause the chest pain. 

dad also has diabetis and high blood pressure/ He also gets fatigue after walking after 30 minutes. Does anyone kn ow what the chest pain can be coming from or how long will it be before these symptoms subside. thanks
