Q: I've been experiencing chest pain on my left side and pain is leading to my back..I used to be a heavy smoker before but now i stopped already.Do you think i already acquired any respiratory disease?

i had a doctor checked it and gave no findings although i also had my chest x- ray to find out what's really causing that pain.He instead prescribed ibufropen drugs for me to take just to make the pain only subside. The only remedy i have in hand is to take pain reliever every time.I even tried using natural herbs as alternative way to treat it but still to no avail..What can i do now..Why is it the Doctor did'nt figure it out what s really ailing me.Do i still have to undergo series of medical examinations just to find out the cause of my chest pain.Hope to hear something from you soon and you will enlighten on this..thanks in advance.. Hi Elmar,

I recommend you discuss investigating the cause of the pain with your physician and if necessary seek a second opinion so you can learn the cause and then treat the cause versus the symptom.
