Hi BonnieAnn,

These medications are generally pretty safe and well tolerated by most patients. The side effects are: lisinopril-cough & swelling of the lips (very rare) and increases in potassium and serum creatinine (which should be measured by your doctor); plavix- bruising more easily, bleeding; lipitor- headache, muscle pain (rare), changes in liver enzymes (again, your doctor should be monitoring you for this); and toprol- dizziness, low pulse rate, and it may mask the signs of low blood sugar if you also have diabetes. These 4 medications are safe to take together. It is important to keep in mind that all medications affect people differently, so you might not experience these side effects when taking these medications. If you start to experience anything different then normal when taking any medication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Thanks for your question!

Jill
