Thursday, May 01, 2008 ochaye asks

Q: Bradycardia, what percentage blood volume drop will give organ damage?

I have had a 30 bpm over a four hour period with no apparent damage. I have been told of another person who was down to 25 bpm and suffered brain damage due to insufficient oxygen(?). I expect that the time period at the reduced volume is part of the equation.

Hello ochaye

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Everyone's body is different. For something like this, your best bet would be for you to see your doctor. They will be able to tell you if this is normal considering the drugs you may be taking or if it is something to worry about.

Sorry again for the delay
