Q: Leg Pain + Carotid Bruit = heart disease?

I am a 45 year old female that has had a host of medical issues over the last 2 years. The most troubling symptom is the constant leg pain. It is a burning type pain, and does get worse with exercise, but it is there all the time. My GP just detected a carotid bruit, so I am going for a doppler US at the end of the month. Just wondering if anyone has experienced these symptoms and if they all pointed to heart disease. I just lost my dad to CHF two months ago. He was 72, but had his first HA at 50. Thanks
