She recently just had a heart attack and also noticed hoarseness in her voice. Is this caused by AD?

I am not familiar with the acronymn AD. Alzheimer's Disease maybe? Would you please clarify and I'll see if I can point you in the right direction for more information?

No problem:) I'm not familiar with whether or not Alzheimer's contributes to the degeneration of body organs (such as the heart) or not. I've done some searching and haven't found much info yet. You may try searching the Alzheimer's site - http://www.healthcentral.com/alzheimers/?ic=1102

Since she had a heart attack it would be wise for her to consult a cardiologist. I'd start by asking her primary care physician for a referral.
