hi ruth i am not a dr. but i had those symptoms before is there any other symptoms with the pain? if not it might be stressed related well thats what the docs told me because there was no other symptoms. so hope this helps some and good luck ! oh and you can look chest pains up and some sites will tell you that chest pain with no other symptoms is stressed induced !

B interested in the results from this as well.

Have had a month or 2 ago, a couple of rapidly recurring sharp upper left chest pain stabs that lasted say from 2 seconds to 5 seconds. Increased heart rate was noticed as was involuntary clutching at my chest. Response was to pause where standing and reassure balance with left hand out to  rest on something. As am a struggling small business owner am under huge amounts of continuous stress and have an unhealthy diet and exercise non existent. Sold house and all savings gone and was running up debt, now under control. Just hanging in there. Getting work not an option due to the way laws are set up to protect big business, ie commercial lease.
