Q: hi my husband, cholestrol is a little high.. i want him to take omega 3.. how much mg should he take a day? Thanks

i want to give my 35yr old husband omega 3 to help w/his triglycerides. they are a little to high. wht is recommended in milagrams to take a day.

Hi Ray,

 

You should speak with his physician for individualized recommendations.  Here is a link to the Heart Association's recommendations that you can ask his physician about:  Fish oil.  This article may also interest you:  Fish oil & Heart Disease.  When you clear a dose with his physician, make sure that you purchase a supplement that is concentrated with EPA & DHA forms of omega-3.
