Mother-in-law just started on Coumadin. Know herbal teas are out. What tea is safe for her to drink while on this medication. Is taking for atrial fibrillation.

Hi Gloria,
Green tea may be an option. You mother-in-law is probably being closely monitored by her physician right now (having regular blood tests to check INR - a measure of blood clotting). Green tea contains vitamin K which impacts warfarin/coumadin and blood clotting, but as long as her vitamin K intake is consistent her medication can be adjusted for her consumption of vitamin K containing foods. I recommend discussing with her physician.
