The last time I had to have surgery it was under emergency circumstances.  Preparation alone was waiting for my INR to be low enough to be safe.  I was injected with a drug that keeps my blood from clotting.  I do not remember the name of the drug, but I am facing having to go through this again.

I have been on Coumadin since 1997, due to having a bypass and an artificial aorta heart valve replaced by a Titaniam valve.  To have surgery encompasses the mental fear of bleeding to death, valve blockage causing death, or complications created by taking anti clogging injections.  It also is challenging to have to give myself injections twice a day in my abdominal area.  My stomach turns black & blue, and in some areas has hard lumps that take days to go away.  I am trying to refresh my memory as to how to handle going through this once again.

Dear Warfarin Surgery Patient,

Sadly, your situation is typical of the failure of medical doctors to teach (and that is the duty of a doctor) you how to prevent and even reverse heart disease. Since 1998 when three doctors received the Nobel Prize in Medicine, over 85,000 medical studies have been published proving that the supplementation of a very inexpensive amino acid is the "cardo cure". I put those words in quotations because "cure" is a no-no in the AMA-FDA world. They prefer expensive treatments which are mostly worthless in terms of correcting your health condition. Medical doctors know a lot about medicine, but hardly anything about health... yours or theirs.

If you want to add years to your life and life to your years, it's up to you to educate yourself about living a healthy lifestyle. Here's a good place to start:

Good luck on your surgery, but in a couple of years you'll have clogged artreies again unless you correct the CAUSE. It's your health. It's your choice.
