Have anxiey disorder w/ panic attack. Symbicort prescribed for COPD, caused increased anxiety, psychiatrist added Vistaril to other antianxiety meds. Side effects appear to be possibly incompatible with lung problems. I also experienced extreme anxiety after once trying Nyquil and wonder if Vistaril might actually increase anxiety, i.e., that I have an adverse reaction to antihistamines (Dr. did not tell me Vistaril is an antihistamine).
