Q: Why pay $340.00pm for Renexa 1000mg when you can take a pain pill for $10.00 for 90 pills?

I am paying around $340.00 per month for Renexa 1000mg x 2 daily.  Insurance will not pay (experimental drug for angina).  Recently injured knee and was given Tramadol 50mg. x 3 daily.  Cost $10.00 for 90 day supply or $4.00 for 30.  Had more relief from Angina with minor pain med than from Renexa or any other angina med I have tried with terrible side effects.  Tramadol has No side effects with me.  Renexa IS experimental for Angina.  Why continue such expense for a drug which had no other purpose.  Who not just take pain meds.  Let's face it - we have HEART DISEASE - after 2 heart attacks and a stroke how bad can pain meds be?  At least you can affort to take them.    WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?  Thanks  Mimi
