Risk in being asked to temporarily discontinue coumadin?

Christine
05/04/08

My husband will be going in for a transcatheter PFO repair on Friday and he has been told to discontinue coumadin Monday night. I am worried that in between this time and the procedure he will have a TIA or stroke. He's had both while on other blood thinners and has a chronic cough. Am I needlessly worrying?
