he already has a 12 yr old pacemaker in him & needs a new battery now...He has COPD,congestive heart failure,anemia,low blood pressure & few other illnesses...Could he die w/ this procedure ?

I am sure your physician has already told you all of the comlpications involved. There are no guarantees, but pacemakers are a relativly easy procedure and most people even with all of the conditions you listed will do fairly well. doctors have become very good and fast with this procedure.
