Hi Jeff,   Five main steps:   1.  Limit Fat - Limit total fat intake to 30% or less of your daily caloric intake and gradually replace saturated fats (whole milk, ice cream, meat fat, etc.) with unsaturated fats (canola oil, nuts, seeds, and fish).   2.  Limit Sugars - Limit simple sugars (soda, baked goods, candy, fruit juice, etc.)   3.  Limit Alcohol - Even small amounts can affect triglycerides   4.  Increase physical activity - 30 minutes on 3 or more days each week   5.  Lose weight and/or maintain a healthy weight   Seems overwhelming, but take it one step at a time and you should start to see a positive decrease on your triglyceride level.   All the best,   Lisa Nelson, RD, LN Lower Cholesterol, Control High Blood Pressure, Lose Weight
