my husband is allergic to plavix. the dr put a stent in his leg plavix coated which he lied and said he wouldn't.my husband is so weak and has a lung infection and is very ill from the plavix.how long will it take for the plavix to get out of his system?

Hi Margaret,
First, if you feel your physician is not being truthful to your husband, I encourage you to switch physicians.
Second, I did some checking on the half-life of plavix and there was a wide variance in the information I found, anywhere from 5-11 days half-life. I recommend discussing with his physician.
