Q: what to expect when all surguries and drugs don't work

my mother is 96 years old and has by pass on both legs and a steint in her right leg 3 years

ago. Now her right foot is giving her trouble at night. She has been told  amputation is the

only option left. Is there any new procedures ?  Is there anyway to help her at night when

this seems to be the only time she bothered with pain and numbness.

Dr. Whitaker in California I have heard made the procedure popular which is now at a few hospitals. I cannot remember the name of the procedure but it basically has people lie on bed and have pumps worn on legs. It causes blood vessels to create or "natural bypasses" and allows blood flow thru legs. Do google search on Dr. Whitaker in California, get name of procedure and then search in your area for a medical professional or hospital who may perform the procedure. It may help? Reply
