Heart attacks dont usually cause vomiting. Anxiety and indigestion can cause vomiting, heart palpations, and the "heaviness" in your chest. Heartburn can occur when a person is laying down and acid reflux occurs.

I am glad that you know your family history of heart disease and I would urge you to get a physical exam as well as complete heart work-up. But also be aware of the fact that problems such as acid reflux and indigestion can mimic a heart attack. Be aware of your blood pressure, cholesterol numbers, weight, and other factors that contribute to heart disease and stroke.

I hope you are feeling better.
