Q: menu for someone with heart disease

i need to make a menu for someone with heart disease for my degree. i also have to show the calorific value

 

can anybody help

Hi Kim,

 

There are several places you can look...the American Dietetic Association and the American Heart Association both have a lot of information regarding heart healthy diets.  Here is also a link for a heart healthy eating.

To get calories of the foods that appear on your menu, try MyPyramid.gov.  Within a few links, you can find a site (you have to subscribe but it's free) that will allow you enter in menus and get nutrition information back.  There is a menu planner and tracker link on the sidebar of the main website.  Click on them, subscribe, and you are good to go.
