Hi Descartes5,   You have many options for increasing your activity at home.    Dynabands are a great tool for strength training.  They take up very little space to store and offer different levels of resistance.   Have you tried wearing a pedometer?  You can use a pedometer to measure how much activity you're getting during the day.  Let's say you are taking 2000 steps each day, set yourself a goal to hit 3000 steps (you might find yourself marching in place while watching TV to hit your goal!).    Exercise videos are another effective option.   If you want some tips to increase your activity when doing your normal daily routine, check out Lower Cholesterol with Effortless Exercise, Part 1.   All the best,   Lisa Nelson, RD, LN Heart Health and Weight Loss Tips
