atriel fibrillation

I have lived with Af for many years now and my consultant is now running out of options...havind had 5 DC's AND 1 ABLATION.I had a ASD repair in 1984 and ive been told this is why i have AF. Having seen my consultant yesterday who is refering me back to The QE Bham. Never before have i had such severe Abdominal pain and bloating like i have for several mths, he tells me that when my heart is in AF it works hard to get the blood back up to the heart and my veins swell ...hence the pain and bloating. Could you give me more imformation on this and how can we ease it!! as i run out of time with him. Thank you Christine
