Q: Random chest pain, hurts when breath deeply/laugh. Has occured 2 x past month, lasts over a week

Stopped smoking due to random chest pain that mainly hurts when I take deep breaths or laugh or move my right arm too much or too quickly.  It began after an anthrax vaccination a month ago and I haven't really noticed it since I deployed, but now, just today, the pain has returned and it hurts even more.  What is it?

Thanks for you post.  This could be due to the smoking or even the quitting (congrats by the way!).  It also could have something to do with the vaccine - though I have no information on our sites about this (sorry).

Your best course of action is to speak with your doctor as soon as you can to see what he or she might recommend.

All the best, sue
